Privacy Policy
Last updated October 4, 2026 · Palmwire, Florida electrical marketplace
Summary
Palmwire collects what it needs to connect you with electrical contractors and suppliers, run the AI assistant, and bill paid plans. We do not sell your personal information.
What we collect
- Account details: name, email, phone, city, county and your role (homeowner, contractor or supplier).
- Quote requests: your contact details, address area (city, county, ZIP), the job description and urgency.
- AI assistant: your questions, photos you upload and the AI's answers. Signed-in users can see this history in their profile.
- Business listings: business name, license number, services, service areas, hours, inventory and promotions. Listings are public.
- Reviews you post, which are public with your name.
- Usage and device data: a random app/browser identifier and IP address, used to count free-plan limits and stop abuse.
- Billing: your plan, subscription status and Stripe customer ID. Card details go directly to Stripe; we never see your full card number.
How we use it
- To send your request to the contractor(s) you choose, and to show you whether they can see it.
- To answer AI questions and match you with relevant contractors and suppliers.
- To run accounts, enforce plan limits, process subscriptions, prevent fraud and keep Palmwire secure.
Who we share it with
- Contractors you send a request to first see a short preview (job type, city, urgency). Once they unlock the request (through their plan or a one-time lead fee) they receive your contact details, description, and your AI summary and photos if you attached them.
- Suppliers you apply to for a trade account: when a contractor applies for a supplier trade account, Palmwire shares the contractor's business name, license number, license verification status, email, and phone with that supplier.
- Supabase stores our database, accounts and uploaded photos (hosted in the United States), protected by row-level security so users can only read data they are allowed to.
- Stripe processes subscription payments.
- AI provider processes questions and photos to generate answers.
- Vercel hosts the website and API.
- Authorities, if the law requires it.
Your choices
- You can update your profile any time in your profile.
- You can ask us to delete your account and data. Some records (for example, billing records) may be kept as the law requires.
- You can cancel a subscription any time; it ends at the end of the billing period.
Security and retention
We use encryption in transit, access controls and least-privilege keys. No system is perfectly secure. We keep data while your account is active and for a reasonable time afterwards, then delete or anonymize it.
Children
Palmwire is for adults. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.
Florida and changes
Palmwire operates in Florida. We will update this policy as laws (including the Florida Digital Bill of Rights, where it applies) and our services change, and post the new date above. Questions or requests: contact Palmwire using the contact details that will be published here before launch.
