Last updated October 4, 2026 · Palmwire, Florida electrical marketplace
1. What Palmwire is
Palmwire is an online marketplace for electrical services in Florida, currently serving Palm Beach County. It helps homeowners and businesses find electrical contractors and electrical supply stores, request quotes, and get general information from an AI assistant. By using the website, or the mobile app, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use Palmwire.
2. Palmwire is not your electrician
- Palmwire does not perform electrical work, and is not a party to any agreement between you and a contractor or supplier.
- Contractors and suppliers are independent businesses. They set their own prices, schedules, fees and warranties.
- Electrical work in Florida generally requires a state-licensed electrical contractor and, often, a permit from your local building department. Always check a contractor's license yourself on the Florida DBPR license lookup. A "verified" label on Palmwire is a convenience, not a guarantee.
- Listings marked "Demo" are fictional examples.
3. The AI assistant: general information only
Palmwire AI provides general information only. It is not a substitute for an on-site inspection by a Florida-licensed electrical contractor. Do not attempt hazardous electrical work yourself. Electricity can cause serious injury, death, or fire. If you see smoke, fire, sparks, or exposed live wires, or smell burning, leave the area and call 911, then your electric utility (for most of South Florida that is FPL: 1-800-468-8243).
AI answers can be wrong or incomplete, and a photo cannot show everything. AI output is not a substitute for an inspection by a Florida-licensed electrician, and you should not rely on it for safety decisions. In an emergency (smoke, fire, sparks, a shock, or a downed line), leave the area and call 911 or your utility first.
4. Accounts
- You must be at least 18 and give accurate information. You are responsible for activity on your account.
- Businesses must only list licenses, insurance and services they actually hold or offer, and must keep their listing up to date.
- Reviews must be honest and about a real experience. We may remove content that is false, abusive, or breaks the law.
5. Quote requests and lead limits
Asking for help is always free for homeowners. When you send a request, the contractor first sees a short preview (job type, city and urgency). Your name, phone, email, notes and AI summary are shared with that contractor once the request is unlocked, either because it is included in their plan or because they pay a one-time lead fee. If a request is waiting to be unlocked, we tell you and let you send it to other available contractors. Palmwire does not guarantee that any contractor will respond.
6. Subscriptions and payments (Stripe)
- Paid plans are monthly subscriptions: Plus $4.99/month; Pro $49/month (30-day free trial for new subscribers); Elite $149/month (30-day free trial for new subscribers); Featured $79/month. Prices are in US dollars and may not include applicable taxes.
- Payments are processed by Stripe. Palmwire does not see or store your full card number. Stripe's own terms and privacy policy also apply.
- Subscriptions renew automatically each month until canceled. If a trial applies, you are charged when it ends unless you cancel before then.
- You can cancel any time from your profile ("Manage billing"). Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period; you keep the plan until then. Except where the law requires, we do not give refunds for partial months.
- If a payment fails, we may pause paid features after a short grace period. We will tell you before we change a plan's price.
- Free plans have monthly limits (for example, photo diagnoses or contractor leads). Limits are listed on the pricing page.
7. Acceptable use
Do not misuse Palmwire: no spam, scraping, fake requests, attempts to get around plan limits, or attempts to access other people's data.
8. Liability
Palmwire is provided "as is". To the extent Florida law allows, Palmwire is not responsible for work performed by contractors, products sold by suppliers, or decisions you make based on AI answers, and our total liability to you is limited to what you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.
9. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida. Disputes will be handled in the state or federal courts located in Florida.
10. Changes and contact
We may update these terms; we will post the new date above and tell account holders about material changes. Questions? Contact Palmwire using the contact details that will be published here before launch.
